Jury Verdicts

A verdict is "[a] jury's finding or decision on the factual issues of a case." Verdict, Black's Law Dictionary (11th ed. 2019).

The resources below include information about federal jury verdicts. The resources include sources available on Jenkins' member databases and in print in the library. Onsite Lexis and Westlaw access is noted when available.

Finding Jury Verdicts

Jury verdicts are not published in court reporters. They cannot be found when searching sources based on case law. Therefore, attorneys must employ other means to find jury verdicts.

Court rules often outline the procedures surrounding jury trials and jury verdicts. Federal Court Rules are available for free online from the United States Courts website.
