Pennsylvania Cases - Appellate Level

Finding PA Appellate Cases in Print Reporters

The Atlantic Reporter, the regional reporter published by West/Thomson Reuters, includes cases argued and determined in the courts of Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont. These cases are also available on electronic databases, including Fastcase, Lexis, Westlaw, and Bloomberg Law.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has its own reporter: Pennsylvania State Reports. The Pennsylvania Superior Court discontinued its reporter in 1997 and the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court discontinued its reporter in 1994. Most cases from all three reporters have parallel citations to the Atlantic Reporter series (beginning with 1885). All reported cases are also available on electronic databases, including Fastcase, Lexis, Westlaw, and Bloomberg Law.
