Pennsylvania Session Laws

Overview

Session laws are "the body of statutes enacted by a legislature during a particular annual, biennial, or special session." Session Laws, Black’s Law Dictionary (12th ed. 2024).

Session laws can also be called acts. In Pennsylvania the acts are published in sequential order in the Laws of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and are sometimes called pamphlet laws.

Pennsylvania Session Laws are available for free online from the Pennsylvania General Assembly, on the library's Lexis, Westlaw, and Bloomberg Law computers, on the member database HeinOnline, and in print. This guide provides information and instructions on how to access the Pennsylvania Session Laws within these resources.
