Specializes in two main areas: 1) Family Law: Custody | Support | Adoption 2) Helps people with severe illnesses (like cancer and HIV) and/or physical disabilities with matters like: SSI or Social Security | Public Benefits | Health Insurance Problems | Estate Planning - Living Wills & Powers of Attorney | & more

Audits | Collections | Liens & Levies | Innocent Spouse & Injured Spouse | Litigation in Tax Court & District Court | ID Theft & Preparer Fraud | Worker Misclassification.

Services include pre-venture counseling to co-founders, entity selection counseling, employee management advice, commercial real estate development advice, drafting & reviewing agreements, and more. Focuses on serving under-represented entrepreneurs and social impact startups.

Sets and implements IP strategy, which might involve drafting contracts, filing applications, or designing a protection plan.

Serves low-income people in Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Delaware counties. Family law matters include custody, Protection from Abuse (PFA), support, and divorce.

Focuses on recent arrivals fleeing their countries from persecution, human rights abuses, and torture.

Civil matters including immigration, employment, and custody cases.

Represents low-income taxpayers in controversies before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) & Federal Court. Now assists in disputes with the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue as well. Does not prepare tax returns or ITIN applications, or provide bookkeeping or accounting services.

Preference for entities that have social impact and from underserved communities.

The First Step Act made important changes to how federal compassionate release works by expanding the eligibility criteria and allowing Bureau of Prison (BOP) detainees to request compassionate release directly to the court.

"The Rutgers Law Domestic Violence Clinic provides representation to victims of domestic violence in a variety of matters including final restraining order hearings where both parties have filed for relief, final restraining order hearings involving novel issues of law, motions for reconsideration, contempt hearings, and appeals. Legal assistance and representation is provided by law students acting under the supervision of a licensed attorney. The Clinic accepts a limited number of cases during the academic year (mid-August to April).

The Rutgers Domestic Violence Project Helpline provides legal information to victims of domestic violence throughout the state of New Jersey who are going through the process of obtaining a final restraining order. The helpline is staffed by law student volunteers who can provide county specific information about the court process as well as referrals to attorneys and counseling resources in that area. Please leave a message with your name, a safe phone number to be reached at, and the county you are calling from on the helpline voicemail and you will hear from a law student within 48 hours.
