Pennsylvania Court Rules - County

Overview

County Court Rules - "The Rules of Civil Procedure prescribed by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court govern much of the procedure in the Courts of Common Pleas. However, these courts have the authority to adopt additional rules which are not in conflict with the Rules of Civil Procedure and many of the courts have exercised this prerogative." Carroll C. Moreland and Edwin C. Surrency, Research in Pennsylvania Law 63 (2nd ed., 1965).

The resources in this guide provide access to Pennsylvania local (county level) court rules.

Local court rules should be used in conjunction with the state court rules. See the Pennsylvania Court Rules - State guide for how to access the state court rules.
