Federal Court Rules

Overview

"The Bankruptcy Rules and Forms govern procedure in cases under title 11 of the United States Code. The rules shall be cited as the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure and the forms as the Official Bankruptcy Forms. These rules shall be construed, administered, and employed by the court and the parties to secure the just, speedy, and inexpensive determination of every case and proceeding." Fed. R. Bankr. P. 1001.

The Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure are available for free online; on the member database LexisNexis Digital Library; on the library's in house Lexis, Westlaw, and Bloomberg Law computers; and in print. The Fed. R. Bankr. P. is also available in the US Code. Historical versions of the Fed. R. Bankr. P. may also be available. See below for more information.
