Federal Court Rules

Overview

Individual federal circuit and district courts may have their own set(s) of rules that supplement the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure, Civil Procedure, Criminal Procedure, and Evidence. Known as "local rules", they should be used in conjunction with the Federal Rules.

These rules are available on the individual courts' websites. They may also be found on online databases, in print, and in commercial publications of the U.S. Code. See below for more details.
